Sales Executive/ Business Development
Job Purpose
The primary role of the Logistics Sales Executive is to develop relationships with both prospective and current clients to generate new business. The position is expected to build and expand their portfolio in alignment with the company’s commercial strategy. The key focus of this role is on scaling and achieving growth, accomplished through meeting sales objectives and attaining the gross profit target.
Responsibilities
- Acquire several clients and develop their portfolio.
- Achieve gross profit target.
- Cooperate with company functions to ensure service quality and thus customer satisfaction to maintain relationship and business
Duties
- Meet and gather data from potential clients regarding logistic opportunities
- Understand and promote company capabilities and technological advantages to widen client base.
- Ensure all requirements are communicated clearly and that all functions are aligned with the client requirements.
- Follow up on service execution until the relationship is smooth, starting from planning to collections.
- Maintain relationships between the company and clients in the capacity of intermediary to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Systematically gather feedback from clients to relay the information to the various functions of the company with the goal of improving.
- Maintain accurate records of relationship management activities and client interactions in the company’s CRM system.
- Ensure effective quoting process and track quote feedback to create a pricing guide and thus a competitive rate for future opportunities.
- Identify potential clients as per commercial strategy.
- Gather data from clients and recommend possible areas of expansion and development.
- Adhere to the management controls and reporting system.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience at a similar role in a freight forwarder
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Highly motivated by challenges and ability to close deals.
- Extensive knowledge of the shipping & logistics market.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic
- Presentable and sociable
